Cherry Tree Garden Centre Limited is the controller of personal information used through this website, the café ordering service and the Garden Club app.

Information we may collect
- name, email address, telephone number and customer or Garden Club identifier;
- order contents, prices, collection or table details, receipts, refunds and payment status;
- a payment reference and limited card information supplied by the payment provider, such as card type and last four digits, but not your full card number or security code;
- account, sign-in, points, offer and Garden Club activity;
- messages, complaints and customer-service records;
- IP address, device, browser, security logs and essential-cookie identifiers;
- marketing preferences and evidence of consent or unsubscribe requests; and
- allergy or dietary information you choose to give us so that staff can handle an order safely.

Where you voluntarily provide allergy information that reveals health information, we use it only to manage the order and food safety. We will rely on your explicit consent where required and may use information to protect vital interests in an emergency.
Marketing and Garden Club
Placing a café order does not automatically subscribe you to general marketing or enrol you in Garden Club. Any optional marketing choice at checkout must be separate. Garden Club has its own membership conditions, including its stated communication requirements. You can withdraw optional marketing consent at any time.
Who we share information with
We share only what is reasonably necessary with service providers that help us operate, including:
- Dojo or another displayed payment provider for payment processing, fraud checks and refunds;
- Epos Now for till, product, customer and transaction records;
- Hostinger and technical suppliers for hosting, backups, security and support;
- email and marketing providers, including Mailchimp, where the relevant communication rules allow;
- professional advisers, insurers and authorities where required by law or needed to protect legal rights.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
International processing
Some suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we require an appropriate legal safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.
How long we keep information
Order, receipt, refund and accounting records are generally kept for at least six years where needed for VAT, tax and company record-keeping. Security and technical logs are kept only for a proportionate period. Marketing records are retained until consent is withdrawn or they are no longer needed, with a limited suppression record retained so we can respect an unsubscribe request. Other records are reviewed and deleted or anonymised when no longer necessary.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or data portability, and you may withdraw consent. Email us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how we use your information, although we would appreciate the opportunity to resolve the issue first.
