Description

Acer palmatum 'Atropurpureum' is a deciduous tree prized for its striking deep purple to red foliage that adds vibrant colour to any garden throughout the growing season. It has a graceful, elegant form with delicate, finely cut leaves that create an attractive textured appearance.

This cultivar is suitable for smaller gardens or as a feature plant in mixed borders. It grows best in sheltered spots with some protection from strong winds and prefers a partly shaded position with well-drained, fertile soil. Growth is generally moderate making it manageable in size over time.
